He is, however, wrong about Episcopalians (aka Anglicans). The proper historical definition is: “Episcopalians: the Christians Baptists came to America to get away from”.

Well played. This is why Jefferson got all hot and bothered by the goings on between Congregationalists and Baptists in Massachusetts. There is still to this day not a baptist church to be found there…
